One of the most pressing concerns to global public health is emergence drug-resistant pathogenic microorganisms due increased unconscious antibiotic usage. With rising resistance, existing antimicrobial agents lose their effectiveness over time. This indicates that newer and more effective methods should be investigated. Many studies have shown micro-/nanorobots exhibit promise in treatment microbial infections with great properties, such as intrinsic activities owing oxidative stress induction metal ion release capabilities, autonomous delivery antibiotics target area. In addition, they multiple simultaneous mechanisms action against microbes, which makes them remarkable activity. review focuses on strategies impede biofilm formation, following a brief introduction latest advancements micro-/nanorobots, implementations various bacteria, other microorganisms.
